TONGUE
GHYLL takes its name from the beck (stream) which tumbles down
the fellside towards Grasmere from the Helvellyn range of mountains.
The house is located beside the beck and is ideally placed for
the start of some popular walks

| Garden Cottage is a new, self-contained,
ground floor extension to the main house. The beck runs through the garden,
beyond which are views across the valley to Grasmere village,
which is about ten minutes walk away. Close by is the famous Travellers'
Rest Inn, offering fine ales and bar meals |

French windows open directly
on to the terrace, provided with furniture for sitting out to
enjoy the panorama, extending south, west and north with the fellside
rising behind to the east.
The garden is well kept and colourful in spring and summer, ideal
for al fresco meals. |
| The all inclusive accommodation consists
of a spacious lounge and dining room with television and video
recorder. A twin-bedded room with en-suite shower and WC. Duvets, Dorma
bed linen and towels are provided. A superbly equipped fully
fitted kitchen with cooker, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. |
